Rapid Assessment Team

Our Commitment to Patient Safety

The Rapid Assessment Team is available to all caregivers, patients and families to empower you to be involved in the care process. This team consists of a critical care nurse and a respiratory therapist who are available 24 hours for immediate and emergency medical needs.

If you or a family member notice a sudden change in your health or condition:

• Call the nurse who is providing direct care so he/she    can do an assessment.
• If you do not feel comfortable with the nurse’s response or actions ask that the RAPID ASSESSMENT TEAM be activated.
• Each healthcare provider has been instructed to activate the RAPID ASSESSMENT TEAM if the patient or family requests it.
• The RAPID ASSESSMENT TEAM will respond quickly and further assess the patient’s condition, begin treatment if necessary and make further recommendations.
