JCAHO PUBLIC NOTICE

Civista Medical Center's mission is to provide excellent care to each patient in a safe, caring and family-centered environment. If you have concerns about patient care or safety in the hospital please contact Florence Moran, Vice President, Quality and Compliance, or the Performance Improvement staff at 301-609-4130 to discuss those concerns. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) will conduct unannounced accreditation surveys of Civista Medical Center. The purpose of this survey is to evaluate the organization's compliance with nationally established Joint Commission standards. The survey results will be used to determine whether, and the conditions under which, accreditation should be awarded to the organization. Joint Commission standards deal with organizational quality of care issues and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. If after working with Civista's Performance Improvement Department, you feel your care and safety issues have not been resolved, you may contact the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations via a written letter, fax or e-mail.
