Youll find private rooms here, with walls instead of just curtains. Frequent and meaningful communication with you to keep you fully informed about your status. Pediatric games and other activities to keep the kids occupied. Flat screen televisions and computers with free internet access. Large, inviting waiting areas to help you feel more at home. Even restaurant-style pagers so you and your family can move around the hospital without missing your turn.

You can count on behind-the-scenes operations to be state of the art as well. They're designed not only to make your visit to the ER as comfortable and private as possible, but as efficient as we can make it.

To expedite patient care, the facility is virtually completely paperless. So your records can be immediately available to all hospital staff who need them. Here's what else you'll find.

• Electronic Medical Records - Our staff is able to access your medical history instantly if you've been a patient here previously. Even if youre a new patient, your current medical status and test results can be made accessible online, including output from cardiac monitors and ventilators. In other words, your up-to-the-minute medical history can be accessed by the appropriate medical personnel anywhere in the world to assist in your care.
  
• We'll come to you - The Civista Medical Center Emergency Department has eliminated assembly line medicine. Instead of having you get up and sit down multiple times for registration, testing, charting and diagnostic services, we come to your room. After all, you've chosen to visit us. We want to treat you like the guest that you are.
  
• More space, more personnel, more emphasis on service - Our Emergency Department was expanded with a focus on being able to accommodate more patients in a shorter amount of time. We complement that expanded space with impressive staff-to-patient ratios and plenty of support staff. What's more, we have increased our fast-track hours from 7 AM to 12 midnight to accommodate greater patient volumes during those hours.
