The Civista Health Foundation has lots of fun activities coming up later this month to kick start the summer, including golf, barbeque, and America’s favorite pastime—baseball! Not to mention, all proceeds go to support your community hospital.

Blue Crabs Golf Classic at Swan Point Yacht and Country Club on Monday, June 18, at 9 a.m. $100 includes breakfast, lunch, and awards reception.
Tails and Ales BBQ Cook Off and Beer Fest at the Charles County Fairgrounds on June 16, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. $20 Ticket includes a 4 oz. glass for unlimited samples of more than 30 beers. Enjoy entertainment by the Port Tobacco Pickers and John Luskey Band.
Let’s Play Ball! Fantasy Baseball Camp for Adults at Regency Furniture Stadium on Wednesday, June 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. $99 includes fundamental drills, batting practice, fielding and finish the day in scrimmage with Blue Crabs. Continental breakfast, lunch reception with awards, and more.

Education on the benefits of early detection and screening information will be available, so have fun and get on the path to prostate health at the same time. And, make sure to save the date for our next complimentary Prostate Cancer Screening. Civista offers a free screening to detect prostate cancer, including a Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) blood test and a Digital Rectal Exam (DRE). The free screening will be held on Tuesday, September 28th, between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm in the Same Day Surgery Department at Civista Medical Center. Pre-registration is required, but the screening is free.
